Executive Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer

Working closely with the COO on a day-to-day basis and relieving the COO of minor duties and administrative details, while maintaining the workflow during her absence, responsibilities include: screening calls, making meeting arrangements, preparing reports, taking notes and minutes at meetings.

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and board members.

Database Coordinator

The Database Coordinator is a critical role for the organization: this position is responsible for managing all of the organization’s constituents, including members, e-bulletin recipients, donors, board members, committee members, elected officials, public officials, community-based organizations, community boards and more. The strength of the organization’s advocacy is dependent upon its database, and this position oversees and maintains a database of close to 50,000 records.

Membership Manager

This new position combines responsibility for retaining existing MAS members with the role of increasing the overall size of the membership base, through creative programming, e-mail and internet strategies, and personal stewardship. In addition, the Manager for Membership will evaluate existing and incoming members for their future potential and work closely with the Gifts Officer to map out cultivation strategies.

The ideal candidate will be gregarious and creative, bringing to the organization new ideas for expanding the MAS’ reach to new groups of constituents. They must also be highly organized, experienced with Raiser’s Edge, and mail merges. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
